Find a Big place
The first step is finding a big
place. A photo booth will need a vast space if we include the overall setup.
Don’t purchase the equipment before choosing a spot for the photo shoot. You
need a lot of things to create one. If you have a garden or a terrace, you
could use all the equipment. However, if the spot isn’t huge, use a ring light.
It would cover less space and you will have more space for the backdrop. So,
you need to choose the best spot for your photo booth. Coming to the setup, see
that if it is a garden, you set it up in the corner or middle so that it does
not block the entrance. It should be spacious all around so that the invitees
can come to sit and watch the photo booth. Provide chairs for them and also
serve drinks.
Type of Camera
You can either use a Canon EOS
M50 camera or a DSLR or any other compact digital camera for photo booths.
Tripods work perfectly fine for a photo booth, provide stability, and are used
for motion and still photography. It is used to capture long exposures and
prevents camera movements. It has three legs and a head and you tilt or rotate
the camera while it is on the tripod. Choose an affordable tripod that supports
your camera. Using a tripod, you would not have to always hold the camera to
take every shot.
Photo Booth at Night using Lights
Once you are done with the camera
setup and finding the space, you need to plan on how to have a photoshoot at
night. The better the lighting, the brighter your pictures. Some people use
natural lighting for capturing, while few people use artificial colorful lights
to capture some jaw-dropping pictures. Use LED lights, strip lights, or ring
light. Even pictures captured in natural lighting would look bright and
gleaming, especially when captured with the moon. However, make sure the
atmosphere is pleasant without a breeze, use creative ways to capture pictures
using lights.
There are many photo booth themes
for many events. Few include a wedding photo booth, New Year’s Eve, reception
photo booth, winter, summer, superhero backdrop, carnival, events, and
Halloween. See that the lighting matches your event’s theme. A photo booth at
night would be incredibly outstanding, but sometimes the shadows of people
might ruin the photos. If you layer your lights, the glow would ignore the little
things that ruin the photos.
Create unique Backdrop
Backdrops are used to enhance
your photos providing a beautifully embellished background. Use backdrop stands
if you don’t have enough time to make the setup. You can make use of trees and
make props according to your event. If it is about holiday parties, themes
could be fake snow for winter or sand for summer. All these types of equipment
will be available at the nearest store or online stores or you can make it
yourself. You can also use confetti to make it look vibrant and cheerful.
Invite your Friends
If you are planning for a photo
booth just for fun during the holidays, then without friends it could be
incomplete. Of course, you can have a family photo booth but to make the event
more joyous, invite your friends. It can also be called a get-together when you
all actually plan for a photo booth. You will have some time to enjoy
yourselves and trying something new to make it remarkable. Work in a team and
create a unique photo booth, get the equipment ready and set up. Eventually,
you will have some fun together.
