Causes of pigmentation
Hyper pigmentation or pigmentation is caused by an increase
in the number of melanin pigment. Melanin is the natural coloring pigment that
gives our skin, hair and eyes their respective colors. There are various number
of factors can trigger an increase in the number of melanin production in the
skin, but one of the main reasons are exposure to sunlight for a longer period
of time, hormonal imbalance or influence, age and skin damages etc causes hyper
pigmentation. It leads to flat, darkened patches on the skin that can be in
various size in size and different colors. This appears as darkened patches or
spots on the skin and it can be uneven too.
Causes of Tan
The sun rays contain two different types of ultraviolet
radiation which reaches your skin-UVA and UVB. UVB radiation burns the
epidermis (the upper layer of the skin), it causes sunburns. UVA radiation
makes your skin tan. This causes the production of melanin. Melanin is the
brown colored pigment that causes tanning in our skin. Dark skinned people tan
more than the light colored skin people but it doesn’t mean that the people are
protected against various problems like skin damage and skin cancer. UVA rays
can make your skin tan, and they can also cause various problems. This is
because UVA rays penetrate deeper into skin than UVB rays.
Use Natural Products
We all love to soak in the sun but what we don’t realize is
that in that process we are damaging our skin. Skin loses its moisture and glow
and starts to look pale and dull due to tan. We should treat the skin tan at
the early stages only, it is very important to prevent further spread of
damage. There are various methods which can protect our skin from sun, like sun
screen and various creams etc. The best way to get rid of tan is by using sunscreen
or natural products or natural ingredients which are available in the market
could. The best way to get back our supple skin is to use the ingredients which
are available naturally. Because using of chemicals on our tanned skin can
cause more and more problems.
Difference between Pigmentation and Tan
Hyper pigmentation or pigmentation is the patches on the skin that appear darker than the normal skin surrounding it. These appear darker because of excess melanin production in skin. This can either occur during pregnancy, or by having any hormonal, from exposure of sunlight or from the intake of medicine for antibiotics. Whereas Pigmentation is a common term which means any change that occurs in skin color, either dark or light. Sun tanning is the process where our skin gets darker in color. This is mostly due to over exposure of skin to UV rays from sunlight or various artificial sources like tanning lamp found in indoor tanning beds and various other sources.
Benefits of Using Natural Products
There are various benefits for using natural products for
skincare is because we cannot use chemical products for our skin care since it
can further damage our skin and cause lots of problems. Limited use of chemical
products for our skin care is fine, but if it is used in excess then it might
cause more problems for our skin. Whereas by using natural products, we can
retain our skin’s color, and softness. And moreover when compared to chemical
